OUR GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

Accountability for International Crimes

Accountability for international crimes stands as a cornerstone of the modern global justice system, reflecting humanity’s commitment to ensuring that the most heinous offenses do not go unpunished. These crimes, which include genocide, war crimes, crimes against humanity, and aggression, inflict profound suffering on individuals and entire communities, disrupting peace and stability on a global scale. The principle of accountability serves as a deterrent, signaling to potential perpetrators that their actions will be met with serious consequences, and it provides a measure of justice and closure to victims and affected societies.

The pursuit of accountability for international crimes is a complex and multifaceted endeavour that involves a range of mechanisms and institutions, both international and domestic. At The Third Eye, we understand that communities which suffer from a lack of legal representation face obstacles in accessing these mechanisms and institutions. Our work focuses on helping these communities overcome these obstacles. We follow a ground-up, truth driven, legal principles first approach to ensure that communities that have suffered massive human rights violations can get access to the justice they deserve.
